Private School Education in Haiti
In Haiti 90% of all schools are private. Students and families are required to pay for tution, exam fees, uniforms, books, and supplies. As a result the secondary school graudation rate in Haiti is only 6 percent. H.E.R.O. fully sponsors the education of all full-time boarding scholar athletes and provides need-based assistance for scholar athletes in both the Arcahaie and Olympic Center tennis acadmies. The national curriculum requires thirteen years of schooling from Kindergarten-Baccalaureate of Philosophy.


H.E.R.O. provides a rigorous academic program to supplement the private school education. Scholar Athletes receive daily tutoring aligned with the Haiti national curriculum while also providing additional courses in English, technology, art, music, and leadership. H.E.R.O. Scholar Athletes often rank at the top of their class, including Billy and Gary who both earned the highest exam scores every quarter, two years in a row for their respective grade levels. A solid academic foundation is essential for success in Haiti and abroad.
